Last June, Kizzy Kaye (long-time volunteer and VP of SJTC’s Board of Directors) was thinking about a way to commemorate her late-husband’s 50th birthday, and she decided that a fundraiser with a healthy dose of laughter would be the perfect event. Never one to take himself too seriously, Jamie Williams was a comic in his own right and regularly donated his time in support of local charities, including Saint John Theatre Company, the Children’s Wish Foundation, and dozens of local children’s sporting events, to name but a few.
Last Summer’s “STAND-UP for Jamie’s 50th” was an evening of laughs featuring some of Atlantic Canada’s best-known stand-up comedians. Those hilarious entertainers performed to a sold-out audience and helped to raise close to $4000 for SJTC in Jamie’s memory. Well, we are doing it again!!
