Thom Swift
For the past two-plus decades Thom Swift, Nova Scotia-based singer-songwriter and master finger-style and bottleneck slide guitarist, has enjoyed a career in music that has brought him a multitude of acclaim and awards. His most recent record The Fortunate Few continues his winning ways. The album was awarded the 2014 East Coast Music Award for Blues Recording of the Year and the 2013 Music Nova Scotia Award for Blues Recording of the Year.
With a strong foundation in Americana roots and blues, Thom’s intense baritone voice and distinctive original music has taken him around the world. Prior to his solo career, he played with multi award-winning folk-jazz-blues trio, Hot Toddy. He has shared the stage with noted performers such as Rosanne Cash, John Hiatt, John Mayall, Guy Davis, and Bill Frisell.
