Three Sheet “Sheet Music” Album Release
On June 3rd Halifax’s Elephant & Castle will transform from bar to music hall as Three Sheet release their second album, ‘Sheet Music’. A year in the making ‘Sheet Music’ will unveil fourteen new beatbox infused songs that push the limits of ‘fresh’ and put a new spin on traditional hip hop. This release is the big brother to the band’s 2009’s debut 'In Circulation', and together these could potentially be the first ALL and ONLY beatbox percussive albums, with no drums, samples or loops. Strictly live beatbox, instrumentation and vocalization.

Three Sheet…
…three microphones, two guitars (bass, electric), and 100% beatbox percussion. From this collection of five musicians comes a fresh take on traditional Hip Hop and a sound that was literally, and lyrically, born to make you move. With roots in Funk, Lyricism, Lounge and beatbox, Three Sheet offers something new, untested, but something very true. Its raw and organic, its live Hip Hop with a twist, and it’s brought to you in a powerhouse performance with a guarantee to make you move.
Fan’s response to Three Sheet’s music and performance has been both a source of inspiration and propulsion over the past year. The band recently won both “Hip Hop Recording of the Year” and “New Artist/Group Recording of the Year” honors at the Nova Scotia Music Awards, and we’re voted “Best Halifax Band’ through The Coast’s yearly reader’s poll, which seems to support the feeling that this music is fresh, and that fresh is good!
