6th Annual Reason for Hope
Matt Minglewood - this Canadian Music Icon has been “rockin the blues” for now 40 years. He is a Mapleblues, CCMA and ECMA Award and holds an honorary doctorate from UCCB. Matt will be joined by his full band.
Doris Mason – a New Glasgow native who most recently served as musical director of DRUM has performed throughout North America and London, England. Doris is an ECMA nominee and was a founding member of the Mason Chapman Band and the Cape Breton Summertime Review.
Alan Gerber - is a Quebec based blues performer who has appeared at the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Ottawa Bluesfest and the Carcassone Music Festival in France. He is a former member of the group Rhinoceros and was a member of Bob Dylan’s “Rolling Thunder Review”.
Wayne Nicholson - a Pictou County native who began his musical career with New Glasgow’s “Nite Cult” is a former member of Oakley, Horse and Granfalloon . Wayne has released 4 solo CDs and is an ECMA Nominee.
